If you're coming from San Salvador then you can take an Uber straight to the door for around $20 one way. This is by far the easiest and stress-free method to reach the hotel.
If you prefer public transport, you can take one of the shuttles down from the capital to El Zonte, but you'll probably have to walk the last little stretch along the dirt road as the shuttles don't come in that far.
Alternatively if you have your own wheels you could make your way down and there's onsite private parking, protected by a security guard 24/7 that you can use. It might be helpful to have your own car if you're wanting to explore the area fully.
Sustainability
Palo Verde markets itself as an eco-friendly hotel with sustainability built in to it's core, not just in terms of the environment but also social sustainability of the local community. The hotels employ locals to fulfil the majority of the roles at the hotel, as well as incentivising locals by providing free lunches or dinners to look after their beach with regular beach clean ups!

Reservations
If you're keen on relaxing at Palo Verde for a few days then we'd recommend booking a little in advance as this hotspot has become popular with the San Salvador elite who love to check in for a weekend getaway! And with the International Surf Championships due to be held in the region at the end of May 2021 we can also predict that it will get harder to snag a room here!
